The Baltimore Food Co-Op is a member-owned and run cooperative supermarket located in the heart of Charm City. Unlike traditional food retailers, the Baltimore Food Co-Op helps to bridge the gap between farm and table, providing patrons with fresh and sustainable food and ingredients grown and manufactured at local and regional retailers, supporting small businesses and effectively strengthening the local community. Free education for a better Baltimore
The Baltimore Free School is a free education cooperative hub located in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore. With class topics ranging from social and political anarchism to hula hooping, classes are conceptualized and taught by members of the community and it is the community members who wish to gain a new set of knowledge on a given topic that have been filling the seats of the Free School classroom since it began in July 2009.
